My pdoc just told me that yesterday.

What’s the story?
Are you going to try it?

My nephew was placed on Vraylar.

It landed me in the psych hospital.

I am currently seeing 2 pdocs. The new wanted to prescribe me Clozapine so he sent the request to my last pdoc. I saw my last pdoc yesterday and he said I shouldn’t try Clozapine as it causes lots of weight gain and doesn’t help negative symptoms. Idk which pdoc I should believe. I asked him about Vraylar and he said it will soon be available here in Canada but not Caplyta.

Clozapine can cause numerous different side effects, including sleepiness, weight gain, drooling, and a dangerous low white blood cell count.

Vraylar causes minimal side effects.

I don’t know @Aziz but personally I would wait for Vraylar to come out.

But that’s just me.

I’d wait for vraylar too

If I have to make a change to a new med for any reason I’m going to request it be to vraylar. I just have this feeling it would be a good med for me. I think it might be for you too.

I don’t know Aziz. It’s a crapshoot as to what is going to work for you. It’s really up to you to decide whether or not you want to try Clozapine or Vraylar. I guess it’s up to you to decide who you believe and then try one of them for yourself and hope for the best. Who knows for sure when exactly Vraylar will be available though? “Soon” could potentially be any length of time. IDK.
