Mine usually come at night. During the day, I can distract myself with people and hobbies and studying.
At night, there’s no sensory input, and I’m alone in bed with thoughts, so the voices I’ve been holding back all day break free and start talking.
I’m working on allocating time for that to happen during the day instead, so it will be less intense when I try to sleep.
Sometimes after school, I take half an hour where I just lie still in the dark and let the thoughts run wild.
I’m sorry you are suffering from voices again, @Hadeda. For me the voices mostly occurred during night. The only time I heard the voice during the day was when I was extremely exhausted. I guess the triggering of voices is connected to our sleep function. In other words, when our brain’s sleep function goes wrong the voices will occur.
My voices usually come when I am stressed. Maybe at night is when you tend to think about your problems? Just try to take some melatonin and fall asleep faster and if you don’t already have a sleep schedule maybe consider making one. Even if you can’t set a bedtime just set a wake up time and set your alarm so you wake up every day at the same time
my voices also got extra chatty at night…i thought they wanted to tire me out mentally so i would fall asleep, like jealous children who wanted to run around and play as daddy sleeps. they definetly were not happy i was a night owl
i would hear voices throughout the day…but at night was when the big party would usually begin
