Vinyl Pink Floyd collection

So I’ve got Animals, a momentary lapse of reason, the wall, delicate sound of thunder, dark side of the moon, endless river and wish you were here.

Other albums I want to add is division bell and and pulse.

I don’t know about the early albums. Relics wasn’t to my taste, so I don’t know if I will like any of the other early albums.

Pink Floyd always reminds me of my early adulthood. Sitting around spacing out to their music. Unfortunately, it also reminds me of the recreational drug that I sometimes used at the time which caused the spacing out. :frowning: . So for me, Pink Floyd is associated with that drug.

I see. Yeah, I guess a lot of people would use Pink Floyd as a background when getting high. I have a close friend who says the same thing.

To me it’s just interesting albums to listen to, like I don’t get bored listening to them. They are one of a kind. I haven’t really heard anything that resembles their style.

It’s too bad you got that association. I used to listen to them with my ex, so it brings back a little bit of that, but it’s ok.

Echoes is pretty good as well— if you frequent YouTube, there’s a live Pink Floyd concert from like the 70’s at Pompeii.

That’s a really kick ass Pink Floyd collection, @Mr_Hope .

Pulse is a great live album. The version on it of “Wish you were here” is totally amazeballs.

I love The Division Bell, too.

Live at Pompeii was flippin awesome. Nothing like stacks of amps and a whole ancient coliseum to jam in. Always have loved that.

You’re missing Meddle and Piper at the Gates of Dawn. I would get Meddle first. It has a 20 minute song called “echoes” that is one of their best songs.

I remember Pink Floyd’s The Wall film making perfect sense one time, probably because I was blasted on acid. Problem is that I can’t remember what about it made sense, just that it was very profound.

So glad that crap is behind me.

Every time I ever listened to Pink Floyd on serious psychedelics I had a bad trip.

I’ll buy that for a dollar.
