Pink Floyd always reminds me of my early adulthood. Sitting around spacing out to their music. Unfortunately, it also reminds me of the recreational drug that I sometimes used at the time which caused the spacing out. . So for me, Pink Floyd is associated with that drug.
I see. Yeah, I guess a lot of people would use Pink Floyd as a background when getting high. I have a close friend who says the same thing.
To me it’s just interesting albums to listen to, like I don’t get bored listening to them. They are one of a kind. I haven’t really heard anything that resembles their style.
It’s too bad you got that association. I used to listen to them with my ex, so it brings back a little bit of that, but it’s ok.
You’re missing Meddle and Piper at the Gates of Dawn. I would get Meddle first. It has a 20 minute song called “echoes” that is one of their best songs.
I remember Pink Floyd’s The Wall film making perfect sense one time, probably because I was blasted on acid. Problem is that I can’t remember what about it made sense, just that it was very profound.
