Video game vs mental health!

Does it help ?

Especially for schizophrenia?

It helps me with cognitive issues and as a distraction from paranoia

It’s probably like anything else. Helps some people, makes no difference to some, hurts some. You would be in the best position to decide whether it helps you.

I just played for 2 hours at a stretch and I can feel my brain,
like I have studied for 5 hours.

It’s doing something rather than doing nothing.

Plus I feel it’s a bonus to cognition workout.

I just played Destiny 2 and I am shocked to feel like an old person not well verse with latest technology.

Oh my the level of involvement is so good.

We can score ranks and levels plus many more I have no clue.

In two hours game time I took one hour just to know what is the game about.

Just scratched the surface — of Jupiter with a pin.

Yikes there is lots of twitching all over my body now eyes, back, ass, legs.

What’s going on ?

I will head to sleep now I think it’s best thing to do now.

Video games helped me a ton when I was at the height of my psychosis. It was a good distraction tool. I did have to learn to play in moderation, because while distractions are useful, I started playing games as an escape and I wasn’t doing things I needed to do to, including daily living tasks.

Unfortunately I don’t have the attention span to play video games these days. The most I can play is an hour at a time.
