Started playing Avowed this morning. I hardly slept so it helped pass the time. I’m enjoying it so far. About 3 to 4 hours in. Gonna play some more later on today after a store run.
I played sf6 and it made me very angry
i dont play fighting games much anymore for that reason, have to learn endless combos and techniques etc. just to get matched with people with hundreds of wins who have been playing for years
13 years in between titles is crazy considering theyve been milking gta online for just as long
I don’t play for years and I’m matched with my level players all the time . Street fighter 6 is best game on earth
All games require some skill development
its not that i lack skill as i had 1000 online wins in injustice 2 in 2017 when i actually played fighting games. i just dont have the time these days, i can still play other games skillfully but i stick to simpler mechanics and games with movement and varied environments that leave more room for interpretation
i miss the days of browser games being prevalent. we used to get free time in elementary school and we play games on the computers, there was a game i liked alot called etnies street sesh, also newgrounds rumble, alien hominid, happy wheels, etc.
omg i just remembered this game that was called dad n me, it was so gory action fun for that time lol
the 2000s i prob had more fun gaming than any time of my life as the self awareness and existential dread hadnt set in yet
It’s almost the same oblivion with leveling too fast now, same level-scaling and dungeons, new way to stack magic buffs. It’s for new players. Thankful for fsr frame gen. Mods popping up like ascension to address boring vanilla loot and rare armor on bandits, and mods for stability. But 125 gb, jfc, and then windows11 256 gb. Don’t know if it’s possible to clone my ssd to a bigger one without partition.
after knowing the end of the last of us part 2, i think i will be very upset once the tv show is finished, as it seems to stray from the original plot with such unfortunate endings. i was playing the last of us part 1 game which is really good but more fleshed out than the show and ive gotten pretty far, but after reading about the continuation of the tv series and what is likely to happen, ive started spending more time playing mafia definitive edition, which ive gotten pretty far in but previously took a hiatus to play other games.
this is about tv shows and books rather than games but the only thing worse than an incomplete series is a series that twists so much by the end that it seems to discredit the journey, for example: game of thrones, and even tho the show may be different than the asoiaf books may turn out, its very likely that those books will never be finished as george rr martin is 76 and still has 2 books to go and hasnt finished the first of 2 despite 13 years of delays, some suspect that once he saw the reaction to the tv show that he basically scrapped the rest of the books or hit a writers block.
I agree about the state of game releases. I don’t think the game price hike had anything to do with tariffs, I’ll be honest. Nintendo is charging 10 dollars less for the digital copies even… the trade prices affect the hardware mainly.
I think Xbox with the 80 dollars games just saw Nintendo raise their prices and figured they could get away with it as the new industry standard.
Tomorrow I will be promoted to Grand Marshal, rank 14, highest PvP rank in World of Warcraft Classic. Gonna buy a pair of swords and daggers that will be a huge upgrade. Grinded Alterac Valley 20 hours a week for 5 weeks to get there.
I’ve been playing an indie game called Age of Reforging: The Freelands. To be honest it is quite buggy but I find it entertaining enough to enjoy. It has a neat concept that while not flawless, has its awesome moments.
Basically, you create a character and then start a sort of mercenary caravan. The battles are real time with pause though you can set tactics by setting conditions in which to use a skill and such, similar to the gambit system in Final Fantasy 12 with a mixture of Pillars of Eternity. There is a storyline and plenty of sidequests to be found.
What holds it back are the bugs. Some people use the term janky. Well, for a independent developer, the attempt of what they were trying to do is admirable. I would say the game is a 6 out of 10 overall, if it were more polished I’d say it was possibly an 8. I really do enjoy it despite feeling it’s janky. The bugs are just too numerous at the moment to really recommend it. For my personal likes though, it is awesome.
Ran into a bug in which I can’t enter a mage tower so I’m kinda bummed out about that. I hope there is a patch that fixes it soon. Everyday I encounter some glitch or another.
People who have been counting the days since the first trailer finally got some new material to dissect now. It looks good, the graphics too. I hope it’s much deeper in mechanics than the previous games, and I have a feeling it will be.
Playing Oblivion remastered and it got me thinking, graphics are almost becoming too realistic, I’m walking around with lumen turned on and maxed out settings, looking at the grass and landscape. At brief moments my brain is tricked into thinking I’m experiencing real life video footage and not a 3d world. Probably gonna get used to it, but it’s kind of eerie almost. And I do kind of like that video-gamey look. It’s cool though, can’t deny it.
Might hop on gran Turismo inna bit. I like driving and forgetting about life, but at the same time think about my life while driving, just sorting things out in my head while I drive. Good stuff
I. M evolving into street fighter 6
Anyone else have trouble finishing games? I started 3 or 4 games this year, made it 10 plus hours in all of them, but ended up losing motivation and dropping them. Haven’t played anything in a couple months now. I might restart Black Myth Wukong from the beginning and try to get the plat. Also need to download Oblvion and Clair Obscur on my Xbox.
