I am a very shy guy and sometimes I am cold.As in I seldom connect with another person emotionally.I want to work on my communication and connection,any idea to do that with mental health issue like sadness,anxiousness?
It sounds dumb, but I’ve found the whole fake it til you make it route to work quite well for me. I used to have a really hard time interacting with people, so I just pretended like I would see people around me doing or like in a movie. It felt really dumb and awkward, but it worked and no one could tell I had no idea what I was doing because they were usually to involved with their own ■■■■ to notice me anyways.
I find that most people like talking about themselves. So if are a bit stuck for what to say to someone you can ask them how they are or what they are up to and that can be an easy way of starting a conversation.
That’s cool.Recently I have also been trying out the fake it till you make it method.fake smiling,fake speaking louder,ect.I hope I get to your level someday
