Using your tongue to clean your teeth is enough. Brushing with tooth paste is overrated

Also try to suck the stuff in between teeth with your mouth to replace toothpicks

My teeth looks nice and polished just by using my tongue

Using just tougue for oral maintenance is underrated imo

I’d say brushing with tooth paste and using mouthwash twice a week is sufficient to remove bacteria

Why do 95% of dentists recommend brushing and flossing twice a day, every day?

Yeah I heard that toothpaste is not necessary but brushing with a toothbrush is still important

The toothpaste and mouthwash industry is big. They sell more if you have dentist telling you that you need to buy them

Polishing with your tongue can remove plaque. Your tongue is naturally bumpy like a tooth brush

Man you must get bad breath. The best way to test it you have bad breath is to scrape your tongue with your fingernails and then smell your fingernail. Usually its what your breath smells like to others. Its almost impossible to tell if you just breath into your palm like they do in the movies haha.
Ive got a couple mates who stopped brushing thier teeth for different reasons. Mostly by hearing about wrong, alternative mouth washing methods that backfired. They have barely any teeth these days.

Mint gum can deal with your bad breath

Also quitting smoking can displace the need for brushing

I guess you can argue you need to brush with whitening toothpaste if you are a heavy smoker

I used to believe this. 12k in dental bills later, and I still have my teeth. I now brush and floss twice daily, and haven’t had any cavities since.

Mankind didn’t have toothpaste for thousands of years. It’s really a recent thing. Toothpaste is big business. Makes money

How much tending with your tongue did you do on your teeth?

No amount of that would be able to get food stuck between teeth. Floss is the only solution there. Different genetics can make someone more or less likely to get cavities, so if you don’t have any maybe you are just very lucky in that department. For me, and for most people, the only way I have been able to avoid cavities is by brushing, flossing, using mouthwash, and going to the dentist. And that was HARD to do because I had some delusions surrounding the dentist.

Did you attempt to suck out the debri in between your teeth with your mouth? Many times that is enough

After reading all the posts on this thread, I’m going back to using toothpaste when I brush.

Hopefully your theory works out for you or you could have some pretty expensive dental bills one day.

i used to think brushing caused dry mouth which caused cavities so i didnt brush my teeth for a long time. i now have gotten about 21 fillings, 2 extractions, and a crown in the past 2 years.

You are not alone. I also had to learn the hard way that my paranoia about dentists was misguided. Hugs.

Integrate into the conventional health regime. Why spend time sucking and licking at your teeth when you can buy toothpaste and a brush for next to nothing that does a better job. It is sz thinking leading you there. Integration disorder.
