Used makeup from Amazon

I’m mad.

I bought a new eyebrow set from Amazon,

Got it and thought it was nice.

This morning when I got under actual light to put on my makeup,

I noticed the brush was dirty.

Then I opened the eyebrow gel and it was used!

Obviously.

Very unfortunate because I did use one product on my eyes from the set before I realized this.

Hope I don’t get eye herpes or whatever you get from wearing someone else’s makeup.

Very disappointed.

With the company that made the makeup and with Amazon.

Gods help them if something happens to my beautiful eyeballs.

Pretty crazy stuff. I got a book that I thought was new based on its price being similar to new ones on other sites. It was music related and had the old school cds instead of the online codes for the source music. It also was beat up. I returned, got my money back and ordered new from someone else.

But never something that I applied to me physically. Nor foodstuff or anything like that. Definitely contact Amazon, get your money back and report the seller.

Thats pretty creepy to sell something like makeup used.

lol

Always unbox amazon purchases with your phone and video the unboxing. Make sure you inspect the product as part of the unboxing. This will give you the evidence needed to have Amazon exchange it.

Amazon usually is pretty good about this kind of stuff. I have never had them turn me down on a return/exchange yet.

Same here, I never needed to prove there was something wrong with my order to get an exchanged from amazon.

ozymandias is right though, better safe than sorry. Especially if you want the cash instead of an exchange.

I agree but I would only do that for a expensive item

oh, and dont forget to give the merchant a nice, nasty 1 star review!

All bets are off for returns and exchanges if you buy from an Amazon Seller instead of Anazon itself.

While I agree with you for the most part, and its best to be cautious, even with Amazon Seller orders you can have Amazon step in to help you deal with the issue and determine if you are eligible for a refund, I believe.

I dont know. We are kind of getting off topic now.

What about @Charles_Foster 's eyeballs!

Usually, but sometimes the seller fights back and it’s a real problem when you have two grand tied up in a purchase.

Right, it only makes sense to be cautious on expensive items. No need to chance it. We are in agreement.

I ordered a new desktop and received a new laptop. The seller disputed the return saying that they had delivered what I had ordered. It was discovered about a week later that another seller put the wrong product ID into the Amazon interface so that the laptop appeared as a desktop to customers, but appeared as a laptop to sellers. I had $2,500 tied up until they resolved it which was a real p*ss off.

I understand. sounds like a headache. I can only speak to my own experiences on Amazon. And they have never let me down yet on returns. Never had anything happen like that.

I have had defective and items broken but always got an exchange/refund promptly.

But your thoughts of caution sound reasonable. If I wouldve had your experience I’m sure I’d be doing this on every item as well.

Perhaps I’m only defending them because I own stock  hehe. I’m jk

Apologies to @Charles_Foster for sidetracking a bit.

The hell you say!

SHE HAD IT COMING!

MWAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!

I’ve derailed more threads than helped.

It’s a risk for every thread and we post knowing that.

No apology needed.

I would definitely be mad if I was buying makeup online and got used stuff when I was expecting new products. SO ■■■■■■■ unsanitary, too. Some things are okay used, but makeup? Hard no.

I noticed that Amazon has gone down hill with quality control over the years.
I try not to buy food from them
