Pretty crazy stuff. I got a book that I thought was new based on its price being similar to new ones on other sites. It was music related and had the old school cds instead of the online codes for the source music. It also was beat up. I returned, got my money back and ordered new from someone else.
But never something that I applied to me physically. Nor foodstuff or anything like that. Definitely contact Amazon, get your money back and report the seller.
Thats pretty creepy to sell something like makeup used.
Always unbox amazon purchases with your phone and video the unboxing. Make sure you inspect the product as part of the unboxing. This will give you the evidence needed to have Amazon exchange it.
While I agree with you for the most part, and its best to be cautious, even with Amazon Seller orders you can have Amazon step in to help you deal with the issue and determine if you are eligible for a refund, I believe.
I dont know. We are kind of getting off topic now.
I ordered a new desktop and received a new laptop. The seller disputed the return saying that they had delivered what I had ordered. It was discovered about a week later that another seller put the wrong product ID into the Amazon interface so that the laptop appeared as a desktop to customers, but appeared as a laptop to sellers. I had $2,500 tied up until they resolved it which was a real p*ss off.
I understand. sounds like a headache. I can only speak to my own experiences on Amazon. And they have never let me down yet on returns. Never had anything happen like that.
I have had defective and items broken but always got an exchange/refund promptly.
But your thoughts of caution sound reasonable. If I wouldve had your experience I’m sure I’d be doing this on every item as well.
Perhaps I’m only defending them because I own stock hehe. I’m jk
I would definitely be mad if I was buying makeup online and got used stuff when I was expecting new products. SO ■■■■■■■ unsanitary, too. Some things are okay used, but makeup? Hard no.
