Just finished week three of training to drive a fuel truck. Going well. Got to go out with the other driver this week when he got back from vacation and immediately stopped worrying about how I was doing after seeing him in operation. d00d is careless and not a wonderful driver, which is scary when you think of how much fuel each truck carries. Pretty sure they’re pushing him to retire ASAP. I would.
The pay is quite good, which helps because my businesses are very slow right now. Nervousness over the economy in my province (election of a socialist government) has stopped people from spending on extras like family photos. I’m putting my businesses into hibernation until these commie bums get tossed out.
In the last three weeks I’ve upgraded my license plus taken countless safety courses. Passed every written and practical exam on the first try, so there’s that. All the doctors who told me I’d never be able to do this kind of thing can bite my tushie. Worst thing a person can do is let someone else decide their limitations for them. Find out for yourself.
Hope everyone else is doing well.
