For some factory work. I hope I’m not an anxious mess when I go. My social anxiety has been terrible for a while now. Ap and ad meds don’t do anything for that part of my mental health for some reason. Anyway I’m hoping it goes well and I can start earning some cash again. Haven’t worked for a couple of years.

I was good at job interviews. I was good at what I did. I worked in factories too. I was an inspector then I became a metal model maker.
One thing I learned is get your money going in the door. I always asked for more money then I was expecting and let them talk me down. I didn’t jump at the first number they threw at me.
My last job I got fired because a co worker punched me. He was going into my tool box and taking magazines so I took the knob to his fan. He punched me because I wouldn’t give him his knob back. I would have knocked his teeth in had I known they were going to fire me to.
Factories are hard work. A lot of lowlifes work in factories. Don’t tell anyone you have schiz. I got fired for that too. Because of my illness they thought I was a liability. Most people don’t understand what schiz is. They only know bad stories they see in the news.

Workers in factories gossip more then little old ladies. Keep your illness to yourself. One thing I learned when working was how to hide my illness. It was good for me because I had to learn communication skills. It helped me overcome a lot of my paranoia and delusions.

Well, how did it go?
I worked in a couple of factories when I was younger, and I found them a cross between prison and high school. Very cliquey, and like you say a lots of gossiping

Hey peeps thanks for all the thoughts.
I was freaking out with anxiety before I got there. But I pushed through it and calmed myself a bit. It ended up going pretty well. A little awkward but that’s pretty normal haha.
A couple hours after I left the owner called me and asked me to start tomorrow and and I said yes! So I got the job. Apparently there were three other potential people after the job that the owner met today and she picked me out of them all. So that’s encouraging.
