I love Xiaomi phones, I hope that I can still buy them.

I saw that today. I have a Xiaomi phone. As far as I can see play store etc. Is unaffected. You just can’t hold stock in the company.
Without getting into politics why? They have the best deal phones, got my Xiaomi for 130$ and its superfast.
I don’t think EU will do the same. The biggest users of chinese phones are Europeans.
US phones are way overpriced.
Because the Chinese government has full control over all Chinese companies and has been known for using Chinese-produced technology to spy on other countries.
This is a no-brainer. All Chinese technology should be banned.
If it’s cheap it’s because of human rights violations (including, for example, slavery, which China is also known for) and because it’s all malware.
Samsung brought down their phones prices due to competition from Xiaomi. No competition = more expensive phones.

I think its stigma and paranoia.
And big companies like Samsung and Apple want to milk more its customers. Prices of phones went up by a lot, its ridiculous, the top iPhone and top Samsung cost 2100$CA+15% tax here.
You can Google it. It’s not a secret or a hoax. They have concentration camps with forced labor, labor that is used to produce cheap export products, and they have amongst other things been exposed for mass surveillance of the African Union by bugging their Chinese-produced computers which they supplied. All Chinese companies are also required by law to cooperate closely with the government and the big companies have government officials working for them to ensure compliance.
Chinese tech is a serious security risk for all countries regardless of whether it is used by governments or the public.
Why Apple and Samsung increased their phones prices so much? Its ridiculous you need 2100$CA+15% tax to get a good battery and a good phone. My 130$ Xiaomi have the same 5000mah battery as those expensive phones.
You don’t have to buy Apple or Samsung. They’re both overpriced. But Chinese phones are cheap for a reason. It’s not worth it.
Idk I will always get the best deal phone, for now its chinese. If they get banned I will switch to Motorola.

That’s a completely valid decision and exactly why banning Chinese tech products is necessary.
Well I hope that non chinese companies make cheap affordable and fast phones.
I think its all about money and politics as I read that US products are also made in China and exploiting children.
