I think unconditional love is too much to ask for but we should learn to give and accept unconditional respect.

There are certain types of respect that all of us are entitled to. Unconditional love would be great, but you’re not likely to get that from human beings.

I like how Bill Maher puts it. I respect people’s bladder. If we’re standing in line for the bathroom, I don’t get to go ahead of you if I’m smarter or crazier or for any other reason. We’re all humans. But that is where my respect ends for a lot of people. Some are just not deserving of it

I generally express it by not associating with them and/or leaving their presence. If that counts

Yes, I think that counts. Self control might be threatened in an attempt to confront.
