i felt quite sad thinking thoughts. but then i realized that my strong desire to greatly respect is better than my strong desire to greatly love. I would not be sad if i never loved but always respected. such a life would be a good life to live, for me.

I’m not sure what you mean. I think love and respect often go hand in hand.

i can love and not respect. but i usually choose to respect and not love.
Love for me would mean positive regard. No matter what my loved one does, I hold him in positive regard.

i have very little experience with love, so i don’t know if love and respect go hand in hand.
i find respect less complicated than love. so I like respecting more than loving.
Haven’t you noticed artists who laud the hell out of Love? Aren’t you curious what they’re promoting?

I love and respect people, in general, but I am not ‘in love’ with everyone. I highly respect everyone without being ‘in love’ with them. Respect can exist without love, IMO, but love can NOT exist without respect.
Everyone gets respect. Not everyone gets your undying love.
