Sumitomo Corporation seems to leave development of ulotaront to Japanese company Otsuka.
Trials for General Anxiety Disorder and Depression continue. Not sure about schizophrenia trials. Seems to be bad news.
It only remains to be seen if KarXT is a good medicine. How unlucky we are.
I still have a dim hope that something good eventually happens with ulotaront. It is hard to believe a high placebo response could kill or greatly delay a promising medicine. On the other hand, no one ever revealed results of trial comparing ulotaront with Seroquel.
I’m disappointed there’s been no updates on ulotaront since the failed trials.
I was hoping for two new schizophrenia drugs with Karxt gaining fda approval.
We desperately need more options.
I think we would have heard something by now if there was any hope.
I messaged the makers for an update but they didn’t provide any information than we already know.
I’m unlucky? I missed the memo.
Typically, we like to leave inactive threads alone and just start a new thread instead. This is different than how some forums are run, but we do it this way because it frequently upsets users to have old topics revived when they are no longer relevant. It can also be frustrating to the person who revived the thread when they don’t get a reply, because the original poster is no longer active or no longer finds the topic relevant. Feel free to start a new thread on this topic.
