Trying to pre-cook some meals for this week

I bought some large pork loins this week. Doing half of one like this:

Other half like this:

Finally, this:

Also steaming a bunch of rice. I have actually browned the rice in some clarified butter first before I steam it. Cooking it in my Instapot with some chicken stock that is infused with chopped yellow/orange/red pepper, salt, pepper, garlic, and a bit of lemon pepper and a touch of steak spice mix. Should get us through four evening meals. The rice will be this week’s side for the above. Making a whackload of it.

Anyone else pre-make their week’s worth of food on Sunday?


When I worked outside the home I would pre make dinners and lunches every weekend,

Got real familiar with my crockpot.

I love sweet and sour meatballs,

The easy, old fashioned way of making them is just mixing grape jelly and chili sauce with frozen meatballs,

Let them cook in the crockpot for a few hours, they’re delicious.

I’ve got a regular crockpot and also a countertop oven that doubles as a slow-cooker. Good for those times when you need to bring a HUGE ass pile of taco meat to school for a taco in a bag fundraiser!



I like cooking daily according to what I want to eat for that day.
