Trying to figure out - a poll

I want to have a non traditional meal for the kids and I for Christmas eve supper. It has to be pretty simple. I’d rather be playing board games or watching movies with the kids than spending half of the day. So here’s a few ideas.

  • Tacos
  • Rotisserie chicken and potato wedges
  • Appetizers like mini pizza pops, taquitos, egg rolls etc
  • Burgers and fries and veggie platter
  • Any suggestions?

When I was a kid, the tradition in our house was to have homemade lasagna on Xmas. Kind of odd, considering there is no Italian heritage on either side of the family. It was a nice tradition, though; I love lasagna.

Edit: sorry, just re-read your post. You said something simple to make. Well, perhaps you could bake a frozen lasagna, like Stouffer’s.

I voted for the rotisserie chicken and potato wedges.

The standard American turkey was the tradition here but I hate that. I love pizza for Christmas. I would go for tacos or the appetizers, personally.

I went tacos because it is really a non-traditional food to have at Christmas for most people. They are easy to make and are oh so yummy! However, the appetizer option isn’t a bad one either.
