It’s decided, for Christmas Eve dinner

My daughter wants vegan lentil tacos. And for dessert I’m making either vegan chocolate chip cookies or vegan marble cake. For Christmas Day it’ll be lasagna made by my husband who used to be an Italian chef! What are you having?

Well we don’t really celebrate Christmas, my partner and i. However, we’ll still be planning on having a great dinner. I’m writing a book of my favourite recipes that i’ll give to my partner, and i’ll ask him to select 3 recipes. I’m only cooking 3 x per week, just a random amount i decided i’d do. Better than the 0 x per week of cooking that i’ve been doing recently.

My best friend doesn’t celebrate Christmas either but she visits family and has a nice dinner anyway since she has the day off. She’s Jewish. But she doesn’t mind getting Christmas off.

Vegan chocolate chip cookies? What’s in cookies that isn’t already vegan? The milk in the chocolate?

Chocolate chip cookies have butter and eggs. But I can make them vegan. Also chocolate chips are made with milk so I buy them made with rice milk.

We’re planning on prime rib, mashed sweet potatoes, rosemary & oregano seasoned green beans, glazed carrots, fresh cranberry sauce, and rolls.

Yum! @Happy_H That sounds amazing! On Christmas Day we’re having my husbands lasagna, which is amazing because he used to be an Italian chef. Christmas Eve my vegan daughter will be here so we’re cooking vegan foods.

for Christmas day dinner, we are having beef tenderloin with mashed potatoes and gravy (I’m sure there’s more to it, but that’s the part I’m focusing on :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:)

for Christmas Eve, we usually just do finger foods. Swedish meatballs, cheese and crackers, cookies, stuff like that. It’s all good.

Well I live in the UK, so I will be having Christmas dinner on Christmas day. Turkey, pigs in blankets, sprouts and probably a glass of prosecco to have with it.
