Treatment resistant because of Paranoia

I’m too paranoid and trust no one so I can’t accept that anything is helping me so therapy, rehab centers , or medicine inevitably don’t work . I think the doctors are ill advised in prescribing me antipsychotics because my symptoms are personality based so I have a lack of trust in any prescribers motives. I also think the medicines throw off my emotions in addition to my mood symptoms. I self medicate my loneliness with food, alcohol , porn, and caffeine .Anyone in the same boat?

You should take meds

Hello there. I am definitely in the same boat as you, I am constantly paranoid even on my good days.
One of the challenges of getting proper treatment is finding a doctor that you are comfortable talking to. I have been diagnosed for two years(been sick for 10 years) and am still not fully comfortable talking to my psychiatrist. I am currently looking for a therapist or someone who does CBT to help me out because I am going through a rough patch again.
Have you tried meds that are not AP’s. I reject AP’s but use other meds to help keep me stable. Have you ever tried an anti-depressant?? I take this for the negative symptoms as well as to help quiet my mind in regards to paranoia and anxiety.
In my search for alternative treatments I have stumbled across a specific medicine to treat high blood pressure. In my case, I use this when I am out in public and start having panic attacks, it takes a little while to work but it does tremendously help to calm me. You should research alternative meds to treat anxiety( like high blood pressure pills). If you find something you are willing to try, bring it up to a doctor and see if they say it is okay for you to take.
I wish you good luck!! Just keep pushing forward and you will eventually get to a better point in your life.
