Treatment for SSRI induced delayed ejaculation?

I don’t want to stop my SSRI(paroxetine/paxil). It works great.

But i have low libido and delayed ejaculation. Sometimes its very small quantity of semen and sometimes there is no ejaculation of semen at all.

Pretty sure this is AP related.

Do you masturbate frequently ? Try taking a long break.

If you dont have any other health concerns, the volume of your ejaculation should be greater the longer you wait in between periods.

I’m male and i havent masturbated in a year. My libido is so low that i dont have interest in women or sex. I don’t think its clozapine related. Its more likely my SSRI paroxetine. I also had delayed ejaculation on prozac in the past

I personally never have problems when I masturbate, I’m also on an SSRI.

Talk to your pdoc, they can help.

Maybe @anon39015889 @TheBest and other males who are on Clozapine can chime in.

I was on Paxil for years and the same thing happened to me. Paxil is notorious for sexual dysfunction. Paxil discontinuation is rough for a couple months, but it does gradually get easier. I went on Zoloft 3 years ago and the problem was solved.

The only antidepressant(SSRI/SNRI) i can tolerate is paroxetine. All the other ones makes me anxious and gives me crying spells.

Maybe your doctor has another idea.

I have also delayed eyaculation but I love it… now I’m Rambo :stuck_out_tongue:

I had that problem with fanapt and lexapro. When I switched to invega sustenna and Zoloft it went away. I also heard Buspar can block the sexual disfunction effects of antipsychotics and SSRIs.
