I have been using Trazodone to help me sleep at night for almost 9 months, but now I don’t hardly feel any affect from it.
Diphenhydramine doesn’t help me, neither does Quetiapine. I have never found Melatonin a good sleeping pill either.
I am looking for a short acting sedative which lasts about 7-8 hours because I don’t feel tired at night, and then I am tired all day.
I don’t want a long acting sedative like Olanzapine or Amitriptyline because they cause daytime sedation.
I have never tried higher dose Mirtazapine, so I might ask my doctor about it.
Can u try some benzo…!!!
My doctor will only allow me benzos like Temazepam or z drugs like Zolpidem for 1 week at a time.
How is your sleep lately?
This week i have been sleeping averagely…still have a problem .i am thinking either to add anti depressant or benzos… can u help me i am on rispridal…
Benzos and antidepressants may help you with your sleep, I have had insomnia for most of my life and have found it incredibly difficult to treat, when I do find something it ends up quitting on me after a while, many sleeping pills work because of their antihistamine effect, but after time the histamine receptors in the brain becomes desensitized to the drugs.
My doctor has me on clonidine to make me sleep. Hasn’t lost effectiveness in the months ive been on it, though it causes my blood pressure to tank when i stand so i get very dizzy
Just 50 mg of Trazodone will put some people into a deep sleep for twenty hours. Trazodone doesn’t touch me in any way at all. I can take any amount of it, and it does nothing to me. Sometimes I wish I could sleep for twenty hours day after day, but I can’t.
I have the same problem with Trazodone.
I knew a guy who could take any amount of Stellazine, and it had no effect on him. That’s a drug that a small amount of will put me on my back.
I hated trazodone. Idiot doctor wouldn’t listen to me
I take 300 mg of trazadone…works for me…
I have only taken it up to 100mg.
