Traumatic Experiences

I wondered if any of you have experienced trauma.
I got stuck in a gang members house for 5 weeks of violent abuse and rape. I experienced pain, suffocation, strangulation, rape, death threats, beatings etc.
Later on I developed schizophrenia after having a super trauma that enabled me to handle just anything.

Sorry @mellymoo, I’m really sorry that you’ve gonne through all of that.
Did you speak with some therapist about it?

I did have a therapist but not anymore.

Here from what I read, I’m long member, sometimes jump up threads about abuse, sexual or other.
Then folks open.
I’ve gonne through rough abuse in primary school, that my hair started falling out very quickly…
But it’s not to compare…

One time I was walking past a couple of policemen, and one of them said, “Hey, George.” I turned and yelled at them “Tom! My name is Tom!” They sprayed me with pepper spray. Handcuffed me and slammed me face down on the ground, and put their knees on the back of my head and ground my face into the dirt after I had been pepper sprayed. It hurt like hell. I don’t know if it was trauma. I was kind of dazed for a couple of weeks.

There was this guy at our assisted living center who had been to prison, and he said the things he saw in prison made it where nothing could bother him. I think he is in a different assisted living center now.
