Have any of you ever changed your medicine? Did you regress and go psychotic? I am considering changing medicine but I am scared I’ll go psychotic. Thanks
This is unfortunately not uncommon. If transitioning is done properly however, this can hopefully be avoided and breakthrough symptoms can be minimized. You should have a plan with your doctor just in case something does flare up.

Yes. I became extremely psychotic, 2 years ago, when I switched from risperidone to Vraylar.
I was involuntarily commited twice within a span of a month.
I spent 5 weeks in the same psychiatric hospital.
There are very real risks to switching medications.
I am scared to death switching again.
You should work closely with your doctor.
