So when i was in the hospital they wanted me to go to Anchorage for ECT, but the logistics were a nightmare and it couldn’t happen. The social worker suggested an outpatient facility here in town that does TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation). It’s supposed to be pain free and brief, you just need someone to drive you home afterwards. Well, at the consult today they flat out said that they won’t do it for psychotic symptoms, cuz the treatment can actually exacerbate psychosis! I’m wondering why on God’s green earth the hospital social worker didn’t know this before recommending it! I guess I’m just miffed cuz it was another hope dashed. BTW, I’m doing okay on the Cobenfy…not great, not bad, just even…and i guess that’ll have to do for now.

Are you only on Cobenfy for antipsychotics?
I’m on Cobenfy plus Zyprexa, but I’m going to ask next week to be titrated off the Zyprexa as the anticholinergic burden of both is high.

It can also treat psychosis.
In some people, it improves. In others, it worsens.
