  5. Gotham

I really like The First 48, too, but it came down to that or Gotham for my fifth favorite, and Gotham is just so damn good.

Ever since the pilot, I was fanboying him. It could have been any other actor to do his part, but the way his character was portrayed was simply wonderful.

Better Call Saul will probably make this list when it’s done, but I wanna make sure they execute the last few seasons well.

Game of Thrones would have made this list if they hadn’t had a bad final season or 3.

Stranger Things might make this list in the future, I just finished season 1 and it was fantastic.

I have never heard of a lot of these. I am nearly 50 so I have seen a lot of good shows throughout the years. I used to love the A Team, and Heart to Heart and Vegas and Knight Rider and the Dukes of Hazzardand I could watch reruns of the Brady Bunch and Gillian’s island all day long when I was a young one.

But my favorite recent TV shows are

  1. The Mentalist
  2. NCIS and NCIS Los Angeles. Don’t care for the New Orleans one but I live close to there.
  3. Blue Bloods
  4. Law and Order SVU
  5. Two and a Half Men for comedy

And House gets an honorable mention. That was a good show. Best Doctor show since Trapper John MD.
