Does it matter if I don’t bath

I’m not sure if these are negative symptoms or I just don’t care. But I shower like a few times a year. I wear the same clothes without washing daily. I wear clothes out of season. I can’t tell if anyone notices. But does it matter?

Anyone else have similar behavior? It’s kind of embarasssing to say out loud.

I wear the same clothes every day for a week then shower on Sunday and change my clothes. I’ve been showering more recently and changing my clothes more because my dad’s girlfriend moved in recently and I don’t want to gross her out because she’s kinda pretty.

I wear shorts even in winter . I shower once a week, but I wish I had the strength to push myself more

People can tell you’re not bathing because you smell really bad if you’re only bathing a few times a year. It’s also not good for you to not bathe. It can cause you to get sick eventually.

I would try to shower at least once a week. You could get bad skin infections. Who knows what other problems. And launder your clothes.

I recommend you to shower 2-3 times a week.
This is my own target, but sometimes I don’t manage to meet it and shower just once a week.
But I strive to shower 2-3 times a week.

You should probably shower more often, people wouldn’t say anything usually because it’s awkward. Not just for them, but for yourself too. Welcome to the forum.

I shower every day. My skin gets oily after a day and I can’t stand the way I feel. I have to shower.

Thanks for the welcome and the share. I think admitting to this might help motivate me to address this problem. I have had co-workers comment on me showering more often, but thought he got into my head. But I guess people can tell.

People notice. They’re just too polite to say anything.

Probably some rotten people would use it against you if push came to shove.

I guess it would matter if you’re on a bus or in a busy restaurant or other tight quarters. If people are treating you weird and you are not getting along with certain people it might be part of the problem.

I say don’t wash your clothes until they can stand up on their own. And bathing can wait until your armpits smell or you get acne.

I have to go to work so I got to bathe. But before I only showered every week and I was fine.

I shower once every two weeks I would be afraid of rashes if I went longer than that

Odds are you’ve grown accustomed to your funk so you don’t notice. Others will definitely notice.

Yes, even if only for your own health.

I’m the same but I wash my private parts and armpits daily so I don’t smell and avoid diseases.
At home I use the same clothes for 1-2 months at a time but I use clean ones when I go out to outpatient.

Yes it matters. You should make it a priority to bathe daily. Cleanliness is next to godliness

Not only is it a bit selfish not to bath - and make others smell your stink - its actually quite relaxing to bung a bit of radox in one and chill out for an hour with some music and a few candles.

Come on mate - do you really want the reputation of being stinky? And then possibly get paranoid cos your wondering why people are giving you funny looks?

I get the negative symptoms - but there are times you just got to take responsibilty and wash yourself. Its about practising supporting your positive mh well-being too.

You haven’t met my dad. He’ll come in my house “Your house smells like cat piss”. I’m like “I just cleaned the litter box”
