I took 10 mg of olanzapine at 7 AM today. Just now at (8 PM) I just took 20 mg of olanzapine when I should of only taken 10 mg… fuuuucck me. Am I going to be in trouble? What are some symptoms of olanzapine over dose?
Thankfully it was 13 hours inbetween my doses. If I took 30 mg all at once, Id be worrying more than I already am.
30 mg is what I used to take every night. You won’t overdose.
Really? I thought 20 mg was max daily dose?
My pdoc says they routinely use higher than accepted doses. Right now I take 22.5 mg of zyprexa, because I lowered it myself.

30 mgs that’s what my mother who is 78 years old takes each day.
You get more wasted on higher doses. I’ve taken 20mg before and more than that on a few occasions.
Ofcourse all antipsychotics can potentially give serious side effects, and risk increases with dosage, but if you have tolerated 20mg for a long time I wouldn’t worry.
I used to also take 30 mg daily.
I think you should be fine.
Once I took 15mg from 5mg I felt confused very thirsty and hot and strangely happy I felt so confused that I would stumble

20mg is the average highest dose but many doctors prescribe up to 30mg of olanzapine.

There’s someone on the forum that used to take 40mg olanzapine daily. So yeah 30 no worries.
