I mess them up by not taking them at the times needed to take them.

Why not try injection? Can’t mess them up and less side effects.

I don’t have control of everything but the things that I do have control over I try to do well. And taking medication as prescribed is under my control. That means the prescribed dose and at the doctor-recommended time. It’s under your control too.
