Today is fathers day

I’m sorry about your dads eyes. Glad you have good support from him.

Mine too. He worked + saved all his life. When I became ill, the saving was geared toward me + providing enough money for my future - in particular money to pay for my meds.

He told me a few years before he died - what I already knew - that he was"not a happy individual." I must have learned or inherited that from him. He told someone else that he never had a friend. Likewise me.

He got along well with babies - I don’t know why. He was hands off + I think the baby liked this difference in approach
but he knew to pat them on the bottom when they cried in bed. Nonverbal.

He worked around the house + yard. He used the chainsaw, until he was no longer able to pull the starter cord. His last project remained unfinished.

I was sweeping the front porch a couple of days after he died + found his shoes - half filled with leaves.
