how bad is it to only have 4 bowel movements in 15 days?..im drinking laxative right now but im worried, my tailbone and sciatica hurt

why? miralax usually works in about 3 or 4 days, today is day 2 on miralax
I HAVE to use laxatives once a week to go cuz the clozapine causes me severe constipation. My doc says that’s almost a requirement when on clozapine.
mr dr doesnt do ■■■■either…i went to her after not going for 10 days. she ordered an xray, said i was consitipated badly…i dont even remember her telling me what to do about it
im afraid to have fiber, last time i tried to eat fiber it made the consitpation worse
i think coming off abilify gave me constipation. i was going everyday on abilify
oh and i quit nicotine for 4 days…that prob contributed. i just dont know how bad it is to only go 4 times in 15 days
I would see a doctor about this. That’s not often enough.
The gastroenterologist has my daughter take miralax everyday. I do think if this continues you should see a gastroenterologist (GI doctor)
im planning to just stay on miralax. i saw a lot of gastros as a kid. and took miralax back then. i just hope it works soon. im worried cause its causing pain in my tailbone and sciatica area prob from stool pushing on it
You really should consult your doctor about this, especially if you’re experiencing pain. You could end up with a bowel obstruction which would be an emergency. Also, if you have chronic constipation where you spend alot of time sitting on the toilet and straining, you could risk having a rectal prolapse.
I knew someone who had this and it’s no joke.

Yea I mean like worst case scenario it could be something to do with your nerves you know.

I agree with @Moonbeam . It sounds like it’s time to see a gastroenterologist if you’re having pain
I’m not crazy about doctors either but you really ought to go see one especially if you are experiencing pain
4 times over a 15 day period isn’t great.
I used to suffer with chronic constipation as a kid.
Once every 3 days was the norm back then. But a classmate told me his personal best was 7 days
In my case, walking at a fast pace for at least 30 minutes and a probiotics yogurt before bedtime usually do the trick.
