Titrating Latuda

I am currently on two Latuda pills in the evening, one in 37mg and one 74mg.
If I keep taking them both each day, I’ll run out in 18 days. I have a pdoc appointment in 21 days, but she has already now informed me, she will not be able to get me more Latuda, and I will have to switch to something else. This means I’ll have to titrate off it anyhow, and if I wait until the 10th of june, which is the date for our appointment, the adjustment would be abrupt.

The question is, would I go bonkers if I only took the 74mg pills until they ran out, and then stuck to the 37mg pills until they ran out, by then I would hopefully have gotten a new med?

I now it’s a risk, but I don’t really see another option.

Why is it your pdr that gives you the meds? Usually you buy them at the pharmacy. Can’t your pdr prescribe you another med now over the phone? Just leave his office a message.

Its when you will be on only 37mg that you will have issues. 37mg is a very low dose of Latuda, the lowest I have been on is 80mg.

Because I’ve moved to a new country and gotten a new pdoc, so she needs to see me in person before sending me a prescription. And Latuda isn’t available in this country

I would ask your pdr about it. It depends on severity of your positive symptoms. Me they are severe so lowering to 37mg would give me psychosis.
