I’m just tired of having negs. I’m starting to have issues with my back because all I do is lie on the couch. I have a lot of pain in my lower back.
I know there is not much I can do about it either.
Feeling depressed…

That sucks speedy. Do you sit or lay in bad positions or something?
My mid lower back gets suuuuper painful if i work a job that can be physically taxing.
Its fine generally though. The last couple jobs i had, my back was killing me every day. Should probably get it checked out.
No, I don’t lie in bad positions. I lie in bed like a normal person does.
It’s just the muscles gone weak from being bedridden for 10 years.
It’s awesome that you can work. I wish I could do that.
Have you gone to a physiotherapist?
Sorry @Speedy, I know it sucks. About the only solution is to knuckle up and hammer your way past the negs.
@LevelJ1 will tell you the same. I know it’s crappy advice, but it’s the only advice I can give. Nothing else has worked for me.
I’ve noticed a long with my clozapine and mid 30s I have grown fat
And along with depression I can barely do my job, however i depend on my job as infrastructure of my life, and its one of the few jobs that fits into my SSDI budget
Blehhhh
Hard times though, mostly, after freaking out so much emotions kinda boil not to a melancholy, numb and sad state
I hate schizophrenia
Are you on any AD’s? Have you gone to therapy?
I think work is very important to us. It’s good that you can work.
I’m not depressed. It’s something sucking all the energy from me. I fu-cking hate it.
My daughter asked what it is like. I told her, “my get up and go got up and went.”
It is soooooo hard to get moving.
This might sound stupid in a negs thread but I have heard that strengthening your core may help with the back.
The classical rule of thumb for back pain is exercises and improving posture.
@Jonathan2 I have thought for a while exercise is powerful. Seems to me that posture has an effect on how people view people. Have to say, I don’t exercise, other than walking. I kind of used to but stopped.
If you have poor posture, the weight that your spine has to carry from your head significantly increases because of the angle and can cause back pain.
So it’s also important
Yeah, makes sense.
Never seen a physio or anything.
I havent held down a job for years though. Ive Just started lots of new jobs for a few weeks and then quit because i cant handle it over and over.
You need to force yourself to stand up straight, or get a standing desk for your laptop/phone.
Gravity alone will strengthen your legs and back again. And your spine.
Regular exercise helps with body and and pains and negative symptoms. It’s not about finding motivation. You will not find it. Just get up and force yourself. Many people wait to feel like they can, but negative symptoms will keep that feeling from ever happening. You have to put one foot in front of the other and be uncomfortable. It will get easier but never easy.
