I get bad anxiety. I get tension headaches and it’s hard to breathe. Any tips how to come over this?
Gosh I would love to help you,
But I have the same issues and I cannot even help myself.
What helps for me a bit is changing a mindset. It lifts confidence and lessens anxiety.
But I can control my thoughts only when I am in a calm state… because sometimes my thoughts seems to do whatever they want.
It seems I am not fully in control of my thoughts, and when I am stressed- 0 control of it.
Lots of ppl says that meditating often helps. I meditate but not really often
Exercise, healthy balanced diet, meditating, being with nature, owning a pet all these helped me and I am happy everyday
For me, taking extra haldol helps. Another thing that helps is playing out the worst case scenario and trying to accept it.
I used alcohol to treat my anxiety, but that only made it worse later. I don’t recommend that path. Maybe you could ask for a benzodiazapine. That might help.
For an anxiety attack you can do a breathing exercise. There are so many of them. basically focusing on your breath and controlling it redirects your mind, changes its chemistry and stops hyperventilation.
Look them up on Google and find one that suits you. You could do: breathe in for a count of 5, hold for a count of 5 then exhale for a count of 7 for example.
Another thing you can do is look up simple neck stretches on Google and do them a couple times a day. This might help with tension thereby relieving your tension headache.
Also. I find tea relaxing, have tea a couple times throughout the day. Get caffeine free, herbal teas, blends that contain chamomile, lavender and spearmint will help with relaxation.
I hope this helps and you feel better.
