Tiny Homes/Nomad Lifestyle

I’ve been obsessed with watching YouTube videos about tiny homes, and camper conversions. Seeing how these people live.

It’s romantic af to me.

I want a truck and a camper now. Doesn’t even have to be updated with sleek modern anything. The idea appeals to me greatly.

It’s clearly not the most comfortable lifestyle, but I think I could love to live that way.

My apartment is just a little bit bigger than a camper. I haven’t got much belongings. Its nice. I wouldn’t be able to travel remote cause i get my fortnightly injection.

I like the concept of consuming less. Tiny houses fit in that ideology.

I watch those shows and figure the people who live in them either have no hobbies or there is a bunch of stuff in storage. I have a fearsome number of kitchen appliances because of my gourmet tendencies. You should see how much camera kit I have. And Squirrel FM takes up a fair chunk of the basement. The other chunk is taken up by the Dad Cave.

And I would need room for using my Oculus.

My idea would be to have the rig set up at a family plot, but to be able to go boondocking in the mountains for a couple weeks at a time. So things like Dr’s and mail and whatnot wouldn’t be an issue.

Im very keen to take my GF sailing around somewhere on a small yacht and make epic bonfires on some remote beaches.

Think its a short term plan though and gets boring

It’s all about maximizing the space you live in. A lot of these people have hobbies, and make their builds around them. It’s doable if you’re committed to the lifestyle.

I think if I did this I would have to pick up an extra hobby, something I could maybe gain some supplemental income on. Some kind of craft.

Maybe sewing. I think I’d enjoy sewing again, I did as a kid when I learned.

I’m committed to being comfortable. I work hard and I have earned it.

I am capable of making money from photography, but it wrecks it for me as a hobby. Life is better as a hobbyist photographer than a professional one.
