This Site Has Gotten Smaller

This site has gotten considerably smaller, considering that it first started out as a site for people with schizophrenia.

Trying to see the correlation…?

Who is? What correlation?

What do you mean by smaller. Traffic is about the same - same number of people per day, same number of messages (between 500 and 1,000 posts per day)

definitely does not seem like that many

The data is all here (though doesn’t break it out day by day - you can see the general traffic levels):

hm, I’ve never seen @happycollision before! and also, I’ve always wondered, are you sz as well?

oh I see why now

I actually just helped to get the forum up and running a while back. Glad to see such a vibrant community is still thriving here!

I mean the SZ and SZA have been marginalized.

I still see a lot of SZ/SZA posting here. How do you think they’ve been marginalised ?

Its doing allright…

That’s what I thought you meant. I think people are just ignoring the categories. For example I see @77nick77 posts most of the time on DX’d - Other.

I was trying to see why the fact it started out as a site for schizophrenics implied that it shouldn’t get smaller.

nevermind.

A lot of people with sz/a post on the “other” category because that way everyone is free to comment. If someone without sz/a posts in this section, it sometimes gets moved. This section was never intended to be the main category. It is only here at the request of a few posters who wanted somewhere private just for them.
