This juice cleanse so far

I’m 2 bottles of juice into it and I have heartburn. I didn’t think of that. All the fruits and veggies. Of course it’s going to give me heartburn. And for some reason they put ginger in all of it. I guess it’s detoxifying. Well I already take Pepcid 2 times a day. I guess it’s time for some tums too. You would think I ate pizza or something, jeeze.

Is that sanctioned by a doctor ? Stuff like that is for short term use I think.

Yes, it’s prescribed by my doctor and filled by the pharmacist and supposedly doesn’t interact with my other meds.

I’m guessing the ginger might be to help sooth stomach upset. It’s too bad that it is actually having the reverse effect on you.

Did you consult your doctor about the juice cleanse before starting?

No. Why? Is it dangerous? I figured it was better than fasting. Or a clear liquid diet.

It’s generally recommended that you consult your doctor before starting a new diet or exercise routine.

yea, that’s true. I didn’t even think about that.

Well, I’ll be getting the same amount of calories. And enough protein. The only things I’ll be low on is sodium and fiber. So I think it will be ok for a couple of days. If I feel weird I’ll eat real food.

Drs aren’t trained in nutrition. If you have diabetes they can tell you if it’s safe or not, but really they just don’t know.

Are you not eating? That sounds pretty dangerous to me.

Store-bought juice is horrible for a juice fast. It’s super acidic, only marginally better than soda.

Be careful @Leaf.
