I’m playing a few classical and traditional pieces, on my piano, very well now and I’m quite proud of my achievements. It’s as good as I can get anyway. My best friend liked them if that says anything. She’s a guitarist in her own right and a good one. I think anyway.
Right now, I’m playing: “Italian Song”, by Tchaikovsky, “Rondo Alla Turca”, by Mozart, and “Shenandoah”, which is an American Folk Song. I’m also playing some Czerny exercises.
After Thanksgiving will be December, the month of Christmas, so, my teacher will probably assign a Christmas song for me to play over the next month. I have no idea which one I’m going to do. I’ll probably have a pick of several. And, yes, I’m excited about it.
Thank you, @Ooorgle, @Leaf. If I can get a decent recording made, I think I would like to turn all you guys on to it. The only thing standing in the way would be my anxiety. I think I would have to take a dose of Inderal and a double dose of Klonipin to get through it. And even then it might not work.
@Ooorgle, @Leaf, I discussed the matter of performing on the internet with my best friend and she is totally against it saying that I would not know people’s reactions, that I would not know where the recording would end up or in who’s hands it would land and that it would be “out there for all to see”. My best friend also knows that I have anxiety issues and that she doesn’t want to see anxiety issues triggered in me. So, based on all of this, I must respectfully decline.
