This is embarrassing but does anyone else wet the bed on antipsychotics

When I was in my late 40’s, I finally got up the nerve enough to tell a doctor about the bedwetting and he just brushed me off.

If you take a muscle relaxant for swallowing issues it will cause that.

Yes, I think bedwetting is trauma related. I was very abused physically, mentally and sexually both as a child, and as an adult.

Wow @SkinnyMe… I would of dropped him, if i told him something that sensative and he completely ignored me it would be bye-bye.
Was it a psychiatrist or primary?

I wish we can just axe off people that do us that much psychological harm. Sorry you had to go through that abuse in all years of your life.

Yea i did on high dose of clozapine.

I used to wear adult diapers but pdoc reduced my dose and I no longer wet the bed now. Pdoc said its because muscle relaxant properties of antipsychotics.

Yes. Without a doubt Clozaril causes it. First night on increased dose I wet the bed for the first + only time in my life. I went.back on the old dose - never had the problem again.

I only wet the bed once - when I was on clozapine. I was in hospital at the time.
