3 days ago my partner got this cockatiel for his birthday. We have named her delta. I’m currently doing as much research as I can on cockatiels.
Personally I’ve never wanted a bird but she is absaloutly adorable. She wants cuddles and fusses all the time. Make sure you get one young that has been hand reared.
I didn’t realise birds could be so affectionate. They are also very intelligent.
The males talk more than the females. However females can be more cuddly.
Parrots are very expensive yes. We were looking into that but the price. Also parrots can be quite mischievous and break things around the house.

Just some advice parrots you have to watch EVERYTHING you say they will pick up on the words and start repeating it

The males are also ■■■■■■■■ , from my experience.
Edit : Seriously @anon83704208 , if you decide to get a cockatiel, get a female. My mom has had males, one I think she even raised from young and they were both mean. The most recent 2, I believe she inherited and the male killed the female and went on to become the biggest ■■■■■■■ in the universe.

Her sibling was in the cage with her at the pet store @Bowens and he was very grumpy. I have heard this about the males. Haha.
