Things from childhood

Do you save anything from your childhood? What is it or what are they? I used to have a bunch of stuff from when I was a kid but now all I have is a stuffed animal, a dog, I had when I was 5 years old. It got dirty from when my sister got mad at me and threw it in a swimming pool when we were little and now it’s stained. I’ve had it 60 years though!

Yes! I have saved a machine that is a calculator, I learned to do fast calculations on it.

It took me so far that I ended up at the Master’s in theoretical Statistics program at an ivy league university. Unfortunately, after a few semesters there, I went downhill, and cognitive symptoms mean that my ability to manipulate tables mentally have considerably declined.

But, I wonder, if putting the batteries in the machine, and doing some calculations may be worth a shot, if anything it may remind me of my childhood memories.

I moved to Canada when I was about 6, so all my early childhood stuff is back in Russia.

I still have some plush toys from my elementary school days.

One of my big screen TVs is about 20 years, still working.

I only have two things I was able to save. A Kodak No. 2 Brownie box camera my gran gave me when I was five and a Raggedy Ann Doll that belonged to my mom as a kid. It’s less because it was my mom’s than it was given to her by my gran, who I loved and miss very much. The doll goes to my daughter along with the camera.

My birth was very traumatic

An aunt got me a st. Christopher necklace

The actual thing is tiny. The disc the image is on is half the size of a penny

I have a plastic doll that is wearing a dress that my great grandmother crocheted for it. I didn’t like it as a kid cuz i wasn’t into dolls, but it’s the only thing i have made by the woman who raised my dad (his parents died when he was young and his grandma adopted him). I also have a plush Big Bird that i named April from when i was 3…it’s all dirty and raggedy but has sentimental value.

When I was young, I went to a period of time when I had no friends. I carried with me a troll doll. I called magoo. Mister Magoo. My mom saved him for many years for me. Remind me of the memories I had. Of having moved so many times I couldn’t make friends.

My mom saved some papers from elementary school like certificates for spelling and social studies. I hated school until I got to college then I turned around. I look at them sometimes and think how did I ever do anything in life successfully. I constantly have dreams of losing jobs or failing at school. I don’t even work or go to school anymore.

My favorite book was the Secret Garden. I’ve listened to it on audio books. A few pictures.

I don’t have anything saved from childhood.

I played a lot of video games growing up like Nintendo 64 and stuff. I was a big gamer. I was really good too.

I saved these artworks made out of clay when I was in sixth grade. Made it in elementary school that’s two blocks away from where I live now. I used to walk to school because our elementary school was only two blocks from our house and I still live in the same house. These were made in 1982. I was 12 years old at the time.

I have a couple dolls and now a couple years ago I started buying more and now collect dolls from different cultures.

I had a few toys I unfortunately gave to salvos which I regret and wish I still had them .

I do still have this one teddy :bear:

One of my most treasured child hood items was a red blanket with donkeys n stuff on it but I gave it to my neighbors dog who was my only friend then.

I had a doll that Germans who loved me gave me.she was poreceline and I adored her as I adored those who gave her to me but my grandfather as such stole her from me because he gave me a rocking horse for Christmas and I still favoured my doll and rather play with her .he got furious that I rather play with her than his gift so he stole my doll from my arms and she ended up in the bin and I never saw her again.
