Sorry to hear that, can you appeal? My pdoc recommended SSDI for me and helped me get it. Do you have a pdoc?

I applied in 2017and didnt even get a hearing until 2020 and then it was postponed untilthe end of 2021, when i was approved for SSDI partially. My lawyer said we should file an appeal to get a full favorable decision as he was confident i would. I had that hearing 2 months ago. I was so hopeful about it. It was one of my last remaining hopes. And now theyre just conpletely taking away my income. I dont know how to afford rent. Or foos. Or bills. I can only work 12 hours at my job and they used that against me, that i work at all. Because $900 a month is not enoufh to live off of? And im trying my best?

Do you have a choice to get the decision appealed?

I’m sure you do.

Contact your attorney and see what your options are before you go too dark.

Yeah i know we can. My lawyer already said we would if anything unfavorable happened. Im just concerned about how long will i be off of disability, how can i possibly live. I have no where to go.

Just talk to your lawyer first.

This may be something that is easily delt with.

I know that seems unlikely dealing with the government,

But it could be.

That said,

You should try to start planning.

Are you on good enough terms with your landlord to tell them your situation?

I’m not 100% sure of this but I believe if you appeal in time they leave your award going while you wait for court. But like I said, I’m not 100% sure, so don’t get too excited. But, I think you only have something like 10 days to file the appeal.

I’m sorry. Don’t give up yet. Appeal the sob. It may take a bit but if you feel unfair I would get all the documents in the world to appeal. I didn’t know about checks when I was in a ward.i didn’t care.

Hugs dear.

That is absolutely horrible.

How incredibly stressful.

I would be an absolute mess.
I couldn’t afford a lawyer even.

Best wishes to you.
Hope it all works out for you.

I don’t know you, but very sorry for you and hope you find a way. I would be extremely stressed if they took my disability away.

Ok i am currently feeling a bit more stable so ill try to explain.

Basically when you appeal a decision the judge can either just look at whatever youre appealing or the entire case. My judge decided to do the whole case. But the jearing was pretty short and nothing seemed to go off for wither me or my lawyer besides i did tell my lawyer the judge seemed kind of offended we questioned his decision in the beginning, he assured me it was fine and he was hopeful for a positive outcome. In the denial letter they conpletely reversed the original decision done by the same exact judge even though not much has changed at all. They pulled up any hint of inconsistencies and used it against me. Things back from my medical records in 2014 used against me, saying i could drive back then and now im saying i cant, which ok? Things change? Basically just completely ignored several things like that and used that i work part time against me even though i never have gone over the monthly limit. Like, ever, in my adult life. My lawyer agrees now the judge probably was offended and that this is petty. Were going to fight it but i could lose benefits in the mean time.
