The people in town have to see me one hour a week. I have a lot of attention focused on me, so there is no way I could commit any crime. They’re the ones committing the crime. I went to the bank and put $120 in my account. Then I went home and tried to draw money from that account and I got a notice that my account was empty - less than three hours after I put $120 in the bank. They’re the ones committing crimes, not me.
That’s awful. I hope you have it investigated and find out who’s taking your money. Probably need a new bank account.
I think it is bank tellers in general. My opinion of them is not high.
You’re sure someone else doesn’t have access somehow? They have to show how it is being removed. If they’re using a card or whatever.
If it’s just being withdrawn at the bank, it would need your signature and should have date and time.
It happened very quickly after I put the money in my account. I don’t like bank tellers.
All I know is that I put the money in the bank and in about three hours it was gone.
Err. If your a bank around here - any cash deposits take a few hours to clear. Im sure your money is in there waiting/.
As a former bank employee, I’m going to recommend online banking if your particular bank has it:
Very helpful, as you can see when deposits are pending, your total balance, and see when checks have cleared.

I just called the bank and they said that shortly after I deposited the money most of it was removed from the account. I’m pretty sure my personal information is about as hacked as it can be. I guess in the future I will deposit my money and then run as fast as I can and buy what I want off my debit card. I guess I will have to resign myself to carrying cash with me.
I hate to say this, but I have an online account, and I forgot how to use it. I need to pay attention when they are explaining things like that.
Bummer - Surely you can see the Payee? ie - if you been hacked.
I get texts everytime from the bank - when something goes in or out.
If someone is withdrawing your money then you need to close that account and open a new one. If you don’t trust that bank then go to a new one.
Do you perhaps have bills that are automatically deducted from your account and that’s where the money went?
An online account is a good idea, it’s a great way to keep track of your money and see exactly where it goes.
Yeah, if someone else withdrew the money the bank has have to have some kind of a record of the withdrawal transaction. Do you use ATM’s? Perhaps someone has your card number and PIN number and is withdrawing your money that way.
Go to the bank and have them show you how to do online banking with them again so you can look in your account and see who withdrew the money.
Then find a new bank - one you’re more comfortable with
But the thing is, they have to tell you, who withdrew it. Are they saying you withdrew it? It would mean someone has a card, or transferred the money to another account, or made a purchase. They have to show where. If someone has another card, it can be blocked.
Anything you are subscribed too? Like those 7-day free trials that expired and start charging you.
No. I have a couple of $30 a month commitments to a couple of charities - “No Kid Hungry” and “Doctors Without Borders”, if I remember correctly. Other than that I’m not committed to anything. I’m not even sure if I still have those committments.
They said this guy took $300 from my account. When I called them about it they said I still have $43 in my account, but I tried to get a movie online and it said I had insufficient funds to do that.
Excuse me, I meant that they said he took $99 from my account.
Do you know anyone who could handle your account? It sounds like you don’t want to be bothered with it. If that transaction wasn’t authorized, the bank is supposed to investigate fraud.
