This happened over here. The bank made a mistake and wired like 100 000$+ to a guy.
The bank tried to claim the money back shortly afterwards, but he had spent almost all of it in record time and defending himself saying he though he won a lottery.
I don’t know exactly how this panned out though, if he was charged with anything or not.

I once had a bank teller punch $511 into my account twice. I looked at my bankbook and had over half a mil in my account. I be like UHMMMMM. She took it out right away, but I wouldn’t give her back the bankbook. Told her I had some pranks in mind, but nothing illegal. I test-drove a lot of Porsches for a couple months. No problem once I showed them my bankbook.
