Ok so I’m supposed to believe that a chemical imbalance is causing hallucinations torturing me but I get real medical problems from the torture. How can that happen? How can it say to another one I’m going to make him the hunch back of Notre Dame then 2 hours after I literally get a ruptured disc and I couldn’t walk? I wasn’t doing anything strenuous either. Then another time it was clawing my lungs and torturing me and making comments about my blood clots. Then 2 days later at an ER I get diagnosed with PE ( blood clots in the lungs). Another time I got kicked in the arse. Literally felt the shoe and kick. It has to be real right?
No, it isn’t real. The voices felt you had pain and made things up to go along with it. Or you just imagine they said those things.

I thought I was being tortured by aliens. What was really happening was that my sick mind was building a delusional framework around existing health problems. I saw the health problems as “proof” of my delusions. Meds helped get rid of the delusions to a certain extent and reduced what was left to the point where I can recognize them as such and manage them. The health problems are still there, unfortunately.

Welcome to the forum.
Since our brains are sick all kinds of things go hay wire.
Did you read what I wrote? The torture happened and what was said happened before I got diagnosed and it was correct. So you’re saying my “hallucinations” should’ve been a Dr instead because they can diagnose injuries they cause me and be found correct by dr.s at an ER.
If they are finding real injuries at an ER (I have no idea if you’re hallucinating this bit or not) then what has happened is that your mind built a false narrative around them and you see the injuries as the confirmation of that false narrative. It’s very common here and most overcome this.
Please read @shutterbug reply, as he summed it up perfectly.

How can my mind build a false narrative of being tortured hearing what the torturing is saying it’s going to do and then have real life injuries diagnosed when I go to the ER when I can’t take the pain anymore? It’s all in context when it happens and the order in which it happens.
It’s demons for me. I honestly think they can and do present themselves as whatever they want. But it’s still the same entities doing this.
Demons aren’t real. Nor are “entities”.
What meds are you on?
To me voices come from the subconscious and are part of the brain. Like the brain they can make predictions. Sometimes they are right. Sometimes they are wrong. No need to obsess about it.
In a lot of cultures it’s normal to see them as entities. The Western view is different.
@TheFountainPen sure, in all the mythologies.
I don’t use meds. I really don’t think you’re hearing me. I get physical injuries from the torture. Meds make me apathetic and slow.
I struggle with thinking that entities/demons are real and out to get me.
I hear and see them sometimes.
You’re saying you don’t use meds and are completely unhinged,
I say give the meds another go and see what happens.
I hear you. I also have extensive experience with mental illness. You’re either making the injuries yourself or making connections that aren’t real.
It happens. All of us have experienced similar.
I’m not unhinged. I work like 60 hours a week. It’s hard but I don’t believe I’m crazy. These things are real and they even let me know they know I know. Like they like to know that I’m suffering because of them and they are actual people but like 2 places at once. A spiritual being and flesh being.
I was completely unhinged all through college.
It’s possible to be functional and delusional.
