theanine as an anti anxiety

I thought it was interesting that theanine is also found in decaffeinated tea and even more so in green tea which means you can keep your caffeine low and still get theanine which does in my experience help with concentration and relaxation from anxiety

L Theanine has no effect on me whatsoever.

I mixed it with coffee and felt a little less jittery, but by itself, for me, it does nothing.

My experience is that L-theanine does help with concentration and anxiety. You can also get it as a supplement. Many people combine L-theanine with caffeine (2:1 ratio, L-theanine to caffeine). I’ve read that L-theanine changes brainwaves from beta to alpha.
