44 inches- feel a little snug. 46 inches- feel a little lose even with a belt Thoughts of my trousers dropping to my ankles at the christening(reminds me of that poster,forgotten his name,who regularly posted about his falling trousers). I can understand the anxiety about such things. I think I’m probably a 45 inch waist but manufacturers tend to do things in even sizes ie 32/34/36/38/40/42/44/46 etc.

I have an odd waist size. I use a belt.

I’m about a 40 inch waist now. I have 44 inch pants from the past. It’s good to buy them a little big. I guess even with a belt they are pretty awkward.
I wear braces with smart trousers. They are life savers.
