So worked my ass off this week getting the pitch ready for cricket this weekend. Started two days early and got a good wicket up and running. Went in this morning and find out that Brisbane is in lockdown as of 6 pm tonight for three days at least. All sport off so all my good work went to waste. It was a nice wicket.
This covid thing is really getting old. Passed the local grocery and the car park is full. People are back panic buying again for a 3 day lockdown but I guess they are assuming it may get worse again.
I always wear my face mask but I’m not sure that I agree with a $500.00 fine. Seems kinda harsh. What if you just forget it at home once or something?
Were in some sort of lock down here, does not effect me to much, I go to work (waste management) so allowed and come home, the same I have done for decades now.
I got groceries and not many people were there today
Did it ever get better? It seems nothing was changed by our original “stay at home order”. I just keep reading the news that there are a record number of cases and a record number of deaths. At least here in California.
Yeah it was pretty good over here. No community transmissions for weeks. All it takes is one person though and I think the latest was a worker at venue where people were isolating. Just doesn’t make sense but here we go again!
I’m sorry man. Something similar happened to me. My friend just got divorced,and was sad about her anniversary coming up. So I made reservations for us at a fancy restaurant so I could give her a nice anniversary. Ten minutes before we got there, the whole county went to code Orange and the restaurants shut down. We had spent a WHILE getting dressed up
Yeah hearing that @Ninjastar. We had a get together this weekend for some family birthdays. Lucky we weren’t on the way…that is a real bummer when your walking out the door so to speak. Hope you get to go out with your friend when it settles down!
