My phone is in excellent condition. I have a contract phone and I am due for an upgrade in October. I have been very lucky with phones in the past. I never had a cracked screen or damage to a phone.

I just got a new one this week, I used to get top of the line, but this time I went with a cheaper samsung, I carry it at work on my side and I keep wrecking them, so might as well go cheaper and get a new one every year.

My old one was shutting itself off, then at times showed it was on but was not giving me notices or letting call get through

I keep a case and a glass screen protector on my phone. I’ve had it for over a year. No damage, yet.

I don’t own a smartphone because paying $100+/month post-paid for 300 minutes and 2GB is not worth it since I don’t use it. I understand that everyone is different in terms of smartphone usage.

That’s a lot. I pay £15. Are you sure? :flushed: I get 40gb.

@anon80629714 Are your monthly payments pre-paid or post-paid? 40GB is $250/month Canadian.

I pay every month and I am not stuck on a 12 or 24 month contract. I can cancel anytime.

But I got a good deal when I did. If I got the same contract now, I think I’d be paying £25 per month which is still good.

The deal was 20gb datarollover - but for some reason I am getting double data instead every month… (40gb)
My data does not get used when I use whatsapp or facebook messenger… (can send texts and pics through it but no video or voice call - that will take data)
It also doesn’t take away data to use Twitter.
virgin to virgin (mobile or landline) doesn’t cost or take away from mins…
I get unlimited texts and 5000 mins…
get wifi in few locations and on the underground too.

but the thing is the phone i paid outright.

@anon80629714 London is densely populated with a population of about 14 million. More subscribers utilize the wireless telecommunications infrastructure. Also, London is a global city.

The $250/month pays for the smartphone (depending on which smartphone you get) for 2 years on a contract.

I don’t have those kind of funds to pay for a smartphone now; however I did own a cellphone when I was younger.

I found this on virgin media’s website in the UK.

SIM only plans in London are cheap compared to what Canadians pay. 6 pounds for 4GB, unlimited text and 300 minutes.
