Do you get a little sleepy on it? I’ve heard this is common.

I’ve been on Latuda for about 4 years. It helped varying doses anyway. Right now I’m on 160 mgs. It helps with mood more than psychotic symptoms at least for me.

You are like me in that you need higher doses. You used to be on haldol, right? Did you have too many bad effects from it?

I’m on haldol too.yeah lots of side effects, the most annoying one is the tremors

latuda is garbage like the rest of them. Haven’t been to of the house because it makes you feel so strange. Skipped two days and felt like a new man

Don’t you think it’s irresponsible to say something like that on a sz site?

The worst anxiety of my life was given to me by this drug.

I tried it for a couple of weeks. It gave me terrible anxiety and made me suicidal. I am so glad I’m off it, even if that means being back on the risperidone. Best of luck to you, hope it doesn’t have that affect on you. It was awful.

Thanks for the advice, but I have pretty well given up trying to find a designer drug that will turn my entire life into pure happiness. Geodon and Seroquel control my symptoms, and that’s all I can ask of them. Those drugs do have side effects I don’t like, but I think all AP’s have those side effects. I hate it that I can’t go backpacking because my AP’s mess up my body temperature regulation mechanisms, but I guess it can’t be helped. If it wasn’t for side effects like that I could get a job working outside for the highway department. I don’t mind that kind of work.

Free samples. I get free samples. Then there’s a period of time that the drug is requested to be approved. Then I learn if it’s. tier one, two, three priced drug on the formulary, and my cost for the drug. Latuda is available for a $15 copay if you don’t have Medicare. It’s $1000 cost for me month one, $300 a month for subsequent months. I don’t have Medicaid, I have the same Medicare benefits as a senior citizen since I’m on disability and younger than age 65.

just trying to be honest

i know, I know some people on here are anti-meds. and they are going to share their opinions but you have to be careful. that’s why I am hesitant some times to give advice to people on here who are experiencing problems and haven’t seen a doctor or professional yet because some times they listen to other’s advice and refuse help or meds.

well it may be a controversial topic on here but I’m not anti med. Im anti med that makes you feel bad, like latuda does to me. I’m not suggesting not to take meds I’m just dissatisfied with the results of the latuda

thanks for explaining that, but you got to remember people react differently to meds all the time. the only side effect I don’t like about latuda is the nausea feeling if you don’t eat before taking it.

no problem, but i will say that aside from nausea I haven’t been able to get out of bed for months on this stuff. Its finally occurring to me now that it could be the latuda

I feel the same as @MeghillaGorilla1. I haven’t been able to get off the sofa or bed since I started Latuda. Whereas before I started I was at least going out and doing stuff and exercising, now I can’t even seem to do that. Its like its completely taken away my willpower to live.
