The pug is having a saussage tonight

My partner has gone to the take away. I’m having a chicken kebab. He is having pizza. And the dog will have a saussage with her dog food.

Make sure there are no onions or garlic in the sausage @Qwerty.
Onions are deadly for dogs.

I remember as a kid growing up, every Christmas Eve, the family dog (a beagle) would get a sausage as a special treat.

And other dogs. Don’t let dogs eat other dogs or they get mad dog disease. :joy:

Basically, things with a cellulose skin. Grapes, onions, etc.

But dogs can eat carrots? Doesn’t that have a cellulose skin too?

Now I want a sausage. No fair.

Macadamia nuts are also toxic to dogs.

Maybe I’m wrong about that. I thought that was the issue, was that the skin gets tangled up in their intestines.

I don’t think it’s the cellulose. Some carnivores eat plants occasionally. I know dogs eats grass sometimes. Must be a compound in the garlic and onions.

Onions and garlic can kill red blood cells and cause anemia in dogs and grapes (raisins) can cause kidney failure.
