The nurse practitioner I see said I have Eczema on my elbow

She gave me some cream ointment to put on it. I hasn’t gone away yet. Have you had any luck getting rid of it?

How long have you been using the cream?

Sorry for the delay @LilyoftheValley Maybe three months now

It sounds like that cream isn’t working. You should make another appointment. That happened to me and the second cream got rid of it right away

I’m just coming off of a bad flare up. I’d had patches around my eyes for about a year. The ointments didn’t work.

The forum helped me discover I was eating a bunch of foods that were aggravating my allergies. Now that I’ve cut those out, my eczema is starting to fade away.

I think I had/have eczema on my face.
I’m pretty sure the doctor diagnosed me with it in the past.

@anon54988740 this is off topic but how are things between you and your boyfriend?

They are going fine right now. He is still overseas for the time being. I’ve been avoiding talking about him as I’m not sure what he’s going to do. If he shows up here fine, if not that’s fine too. I’ve stepped away from him somewhat.

I have eczema on my hands, my arms, my face, my ears, and my neck. It sucks.

I’m about to try Hydrocortisone ointment on my hands, prescribed by my dermatologist. He said to apply a thick layer to my hands, before I get into bed, and wear thin cotton gloves. I guess so it doesn’t rub off on my sheets.

For everywhere else, I use thick lotion. I’m currently trying a tub of Aveeno Skin Relief Moisture Repair - Intense Moisture. It’s the blue one. Seems to help. But the eczema isn’t healed, totally.

There’s Eucerin eczema relief cream. Also, Aquafor (looks kind of like Vaseline) works well for eczema.
